New Delhi May 27, 2025 (ANI): Communication Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia announced that BSNL has achieved a significant financial turnaround by posting back-to-back quarterly net profits for the first time in 18 years. ₹262 crore in October–December 2024 and ₹280 crore in January–March 2025, highlighting the success of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision and leadership. He emphasized that this is not just operating profit or EBITDA, but actual net profit. BSNL’s EBITDA margin has doubled from 10% to nearly 20% in FY 2024–25, with EBITDA reaching ₹5,300 crore. Operational and total revenues grew by 7.8% and nearly 10% respectively, while the number of EBITDA-positive circles rose from 8 to 18, and net profit-making circles increased from 3 to 10. The company's net loss was cut by 58%, from ₹5,370 crore in FY 2023–24 to ₹2,327 crore in FY 2024–25. BSNL’s three core segments. Enterprise, FTTH, and Mobility—showed strong growth, and it deployed a record ₹24,432 crore in capital expenditure during the year. Scindia credited the transformation to the government's strategic vision and praised BSNL’s workforce for their dedication in achieving this milestone.
