According to Reuters, the US Supreme Court on May 30 approved an emergency application filed by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem , requesting an end to the program of the administration of former US President Joe Biden that granted permission for 532,000 people from Cuba , Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela to temporarily live and work in the US.
Under US law, an immigration "amnesty" is a form of temporary stay that allows immigrants to stay in the country for "urgent humanitarian reasons or important public benefits" and allows them to live and work legally in the US.
