Hanoi [Vietnam], May 7: Ngoc Trinh stated that she doesn't use acting skills to determine her fee, but still wants her image to be respected when participating in films.
After the movie "Sister-in-law ," Ngoc Trinh returns to the big screen with the role of Thanh in the film " Underworld Beauty Salon ." This is her first time trying her hand at a horror film with a spiritual theme, and it is also the most challenging role she has ever played.
Ngoc Trinh revealed that when she first received the script , she wanted to refuse it because she lacked confidence in the character. According to the actress, the most difficult part wasn't the dialogue, but the scenes that required acting entirely from inner emotions.
"I'm not afraid of ghosts and I've never encountered one, so I don't know what it feels like to be scared. I had to imagine all the scary scenes in the movie," she shared. The model said that scenes without dialogue or interaction with her co-stars put the most pressure on her. However, after reviewing the final product, Ngoc Trinh said she felt "relieved" because the result was better than expected. Nevertheless, Ngoc Trinh remained quite reserved when discussing her own acting abilities. She believes that most of her success comes from the support of the director and the crew.
"I'm confident that I'm an actress, but I wouldn't dare call myself a good actress," Ngoc Trinh confided.
Ngoc Trinh also said that currently, what pressures her most is not her appearance or business, but acting. The model sees the fact that audiences are starting to pay attention to and discuss her acting as a positive sign. "At least I still have the curiosity for audiences to want to go to the cinema to see how I perform," she shared.
Ngoc Trinh reveals the reason she turned down many films.
Following the success of the film "Sister-in-law ," Ngoc Trinh revealed that she received quite a few offers to act in films. However, the beautiful actress doesn't accept every project.
"There are scripts that are similar to roles I've played before. There are scripts I like, but the filming schedule doesn't work, or the fee doesn't reflect my value," she said.
When asked if she would accept a good project but with a low fee, Ngoc Trinh said she would still consider it if the remuneration was "reasonably low".
"If the fee is too low, I won't accept it. I think people should respect my image and my own self-worth," Ngoc Trinh expressed her opinion.
The beauty queen asserted that she doesn't use her acting skills to determine her fee because she's not yet confident enough in her professional abilities . However, she understands where her appeal and image value lie. According to Ngoc Trinh, if the production team doesn't recognize her value simply because she likes the project, it makes her feel disrespected.
Besides acting, the model said that her current business is stable, so she doesn't feel pressured to accept any role at all costs. For her, the most important factor remains the appeal of the character and the project.
Ngoc Trinh also admitted that after many events, she has changed quite a lot in her lifestyle and way of speaking . The beauty queen said that she is now more restrained in everything, from her personal image to how she answers difficult questions.
"Now I only care about whether I'm happy, whether my work is going well, and whether I'm being responsible for what I receive," she shared.
The model added that she no longer places as much importance on how the public perceives her as she used to. Instead, she wants to focus more on her work, personal life , and the values that make her feel positive.
