LyLy reveals how she came to act in Tran Thanh's film, and feels "shy" about intimate scenes

Seoul [South Korea], February 23: In 2026, LyLy impressed audiences by venturing into the film industry with her role in Tran Thanh's movie, "Tho Oi" (Oh , Little Rabbit). The film reportedly grossed over 245 billion VND after just a few days of release.
Sharing on Sao Check , LyLy admitted that her foray into acting came about by chance. Previously, when watching Tran Thanh's projects, she had hoped to write film music for him. When she sent a song to the director for him to listen to, the singer was unexpectedly given the opportunity to audition for the lead role in the film. "I had to audition three times. At that time, I didn't read the script beforehand; I was just given a situation by Mr. Thanh and then acted it out," she recounted.
Although she had worked on many game shows before, LyLy admitted that she was "nervous" when filming began. Explaining this, the singer said that her senior colleague's serious and strict demeanor made her feel intimidated in the early days. "I wondered, 'Does he hate me?' But later I realized he was like that with everyone," she recounted.
LyLy confided that she found scenes requiring strong emotions, such as crying or anger, very easy to perform. However, in scenes depicting everyday life, the singer found it difficult to express herself.
"In the early days, whenever the camera was on, I just acted, so Thanh often scolded me. Especially the romantic scenes, I was very shy. Before, when filming music videos, I didn't even dare look directly at the male actor. In the film, there are many intimate scenes that require me to overcome my shyness to complete the role," she confided.
According to the 9X singer, she shares many similarities with the character Hai Linh in "Tho Oi" (Oh, Little Rabbit). This may be the reason why Tran Thanh chose LyLy for this character. She confided: "I find Hai Linh to be very stubborn and rigid in her way of life, finding it difficult to accept things that she personally feels are wrong. I learned a lot from this project, not only in acting but also in life. I am more empathetic and understanding of others."
LyLy's everyday life
Before venturing into film, LyLy worked in the music industry as a songwriter and singer. She says that her emotional world is rich, allowing her to create songs from observations in everyday life.
"I rarely talk or share with others. Instead of writing in a diary, I express my emotions through music. That's also how I communicate with myself," the 9X singer revealed.
Looking back on her career journey, LyLy feels fortunate because: "There are many talented people out there who write great music but haven't had the opportunity to showcase it. I'm lucky to have met good people who support me in my work. As for my abilities, they're not yet outstanding, so I have to work hard to improve and practice every day to be worthy of the love and support my audience has given me."
Regarding her personal life, LyLy revealed that she usually spends time at the gym in the morning, then writes music and cleans the house. She admitted that even when she's not performing, she's still busy because she wants to rearrange her living space to make it airy and clean.
Regarding how she deals with sadness, the 9X singer admitted that she is "so resilient that she fears nothing except loss." "I'm very optimistic; I always think that I can handle everything in life. Even if I'm heartbroken or sad, it'll only last a few days, then everything will be back to normal. I won't dwell on sadness for too long," she confided.
